The Website For Soft Comfy Cancer Surgery Hats Chemo Headwear & Alopecia Hair Loss

Bold Beanies were designed by Emilienne many years ago whilst undergoing chemotherapy treatment for Stage 4 Breast Cancer when she wanted something super soft and comfortable to stay covered up in front on the family, keep warm but also stylish and pretty for a younger person going through cancer.

These award winning cancer hats are made to exceptional high standards using the best quality cotton based stretchy fabric from Liberty Art Fabrics which is famous all over the world for quality and the best designs. Minimal seams and not irritating labels make for a comfortable beanie. The stretchy fabric allows the cap to fit snuggly but not tightly onto a bald sensitive scalp and stay put whilst you get on with your day or get a good nights rest. Not too hot or cold, the breathable fabric wicks away sweat and keeps the head at an even temperature.

Will you go for a plain hat or get one customised with a name or slogan of your choice? Or choose from the wide range of beautiful pattered Liberty prints?

Designed to be worn day or night, on their own or layered up under another beanie or head scarf... show us how you wear yours. Matching scarves and PICC line covers available now.

What to Wear When You Lose Hair With Chemotherapy Cancer Treatment

What to Wear When You Lose Hair With Chemotherapy Cancer Treatment

Chemo hair loss can be fast and usually starts to fall out with the second round of chemo infusion. It can make your scalp sore (it reminded me of when I had my hair tied back too tight as a child and then it hurt when you took the bands out). Loosing your hair suddenly can make you feel very cold as a bald head losses heat very quickly.  You may also lose hair from all over your body, adding to the heat loss.

Often you will have had some kind of surgery which may make lifting your arms quite difficult. Tying scarves therefore might be too hard or tricky so a simple Bold Beanie to slip on easily to cover up for yourself and loved ones is just what's needed.

Bold Beanies are made using the highest quality soft silky stretchy fabrics from the UK and Liberty of London. They are natural cotton based which make them naturally sweat wicking, breathable and keep the head at an even temperature.  We have designed the hat to have no seams that sit on pressure points when sleeping. These skull caps are designed to fit snugly on the head, but not tightly and will not slip around like a scarf. Wear a Bold Beanie as a liner under any scarf to stop it moving and provide more warmth, especially over ears if wanted.  No labels inside to irritate the scalp.

11th Birthday. 10 Year Anniversary!

Happy 11th Birthday my beautiful girl. 10 years since your first birthday and my second chemo where we sat and took this photo of us together. 10 years since I started to loose my hair with my chemotherapy treatment for Grade 3 advanced Breast Cancer, which eventually led to me starting to make Bold Beanies for fellow sufferers.  Lotte, I'm so incredibly proud of the wonderful, nice and caring person you have become and I'm proud to be your mummy. I'm so grateful for every singe day and snuggle we get to share together and for the way you tell...
